FEES AND INSURANCE POLICY

My fees are comparable to those of other psychiatrists that are credentialed to work with children, adolescents, and adults in the Manhattan area. Please contact me to discuss the fee schedule.

I do not participate in any insurance plans and work as an out-of-network provider. Most patients submit for reimbursements through their insurance plans. This means that you pay the clinician directly and then file for reimbursement with your insurance company. It is often helpful to call your insurance company and ask them what your out-of-network coverage is as this varies between different insurance companies.

SCHEDULING AN INITIAL APPOINTMENT

Please refer to the FIRST VISIT AND FORMS section for additional information.

CANCELLATION POLICY, MISSED APPOINTMENTS, WEATHER POLICY

If you are unable to keep an appointment, please give 48 business hours advanced notice (excluding weekends and holidays), otherwise you will be charged in full for the time that was reserved for you. Insurance companies do not reimburse for missed appointment charges. You may cancel your appointment by calling me and leaving a message. If you are late for an appointment, you will be seen for the remainder of your reserved time. You will be responsible for the full session fee (this includes initial visits).

With this in mind, I understand life is often unpredictable and unexpected circumstances can arise. With advanced notice, I will try my best to accommodate your schedule change requests.

In cases of inclement weather, please check this website for information regarding hours of operation or practice closure.

Prescription renewals

While most prescription requests can be managed and processed within one business day, please allow up to three business days for your request to be processed and issued to your pharmacy. Please plan accordingly.

Availability, OFFICE HOURS & LOCATION

Whenever possible, messages left via voicemail or e-mail are returned within one business day. Please note, this includes messages left after Friday 5PM and on weekends, which are not reviewed until the following business day.

Early morning and late evening weekday appointments are sometimes available.

EMERGENCIES

For life threatening emergencies, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. As a reminder, urgent needs must be communicated via telephone or in person, not through e-mail or text messaging. As this is an outpatient practice, please note that I may not be able to return your call immediately. You may call an outside crisis line 24 hours/day, 7 days/week at 1.800.273.8255, call 911, or go to the nearest ER.
